RECIPE OF THE MONTH~~JUNE  '08
PORK     ROAST
Pork  loin  roast
1 med. onion cut into 1/4" wedges
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. apple juice

Put roast into roaster
with the water & apple juice
Place onions around the meat

Place roaster, uncovered,  into 400 oven until the meat browns slightly.  About 1/2 hr.
Turn oven to 325.
Cover the roaster & cook for about 1-1/2hrs.
Place roast on a platter.

Gravy:
Mix about 1/2 c. water  in a jar with tight lid
Add  enough flour to make thickening .
Shake well & slowly  add to onions & meat juice in roaster.
Boil over med. heat for about 5 mins. whisk while gravy is thickening.
Serve over sliced roast & mashed potatoes.

NOTE:
For b-b-q'ed  pork:
Add b-b-q sauce to the ingredients that are already in the roaster, whisk & cook for another 5 mins.
Slice the roast & add to the b-b-q juice in the roaster. 
Stir to coat all slices.
Serve on kaiser buns.
This goes well with roasted or baked potatoes.
Don't forget the brown beans that go well with this meal.
