RECIPE OF THE MONTH~DEC.
       Ginger   Sparklers


3/4 c. butter or marg.              1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. molasses                       1 tsp. ginger
1 c. brown sugar                     1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg                                     1/2 tsp. allspice          2 c. flour                                      white sugar
2 tsp. baking soda

~Preheat oven  375.

~Cream together butter, brown sugar, molasses & egg.

~Measure flour, soda, salt & spices into bowl.  Stir to blend.
~ Stir into creamed mixture 'til well blended.

~Shape into small balls (1").  Roll in sugar to coat.

~Place 2 " apart on geased baking sheet.

~Bake for 8-10 mins.  Cool slightly & remove from sheet.

Makes about 5 doz. cookies.
