| To Kill a Vampire | ||||||||
| The mansion loomed before us outlined against the sky our spines were chilled and our hearts were filled with fear to go inside but we have only a short time before the sky turns gray and the creature of the night spreads his wings in flight in his search for human prey as I reach the castle door my assistant rings the bell I was filled with fright My throat went tight And I shouted "what the hell?" I smacked him upside the head and told him to open the door He opened it wide and went inside and fell right through the floor I ran up to the hole expecting he was dead yet I was amazed he was only dazed for he landed on a bed I helped him climb back up and we were off once again for somewhere near was our greatest fear we had to face it like men a couple hours later we entered into a room I caught my breath and went as cold as death for there was Draculas tomb a coffin made of stone covered with a layer of dust I knew it wouldnt be easy for the heavy lid was greasy but remove that lid we must |
with a glance out the window a chill went down my spine the sun was almost down barely above the ground I knew there wasnt much time we grabbed onto the side and lifted with all our might with all of our strain it was simple and plain the cover was holding tight I tried to spit on my hands hoping for a better grip my partner started yelling about what there was no telling when I realized I let the cover slip his fingers were being crushed by the heavy lid of stone I was sick with despair god as my witness I swear I could hear the crunching of his bones I couldnt lift up the stone there was no other way to choose I put my arms around his chest and put my strength to the test and pulled till I heard the fingers pop loose my friend was passed out cold I was tired and needed a rest I leaned on the lid and the whole thing slid so I put my hand on the side and pressed with the simplest of ease it moved I was almost to scared to look but I pushed it open wide and forced a look inside and found it to be filled with books I ran over to the window I could hear my own heart beat as the creature of the night spread his wings and took flight from the house across the street |
