THE SHOWING OF THE PRESENTS

A tradition in Scotland is to show the presents gratefully received by the Bride and Groom at a 'Showing of the Presents' party for the families and friends.  As the families are on either side of Scotland, it was decided to have two of these parties.  The first was held at the home of the Mother of the Groom and we thank Jane for letting us use her house.  Many friends of the McLeod family visited and it was nice to see everyone.

The Groom and the presents

We were very fortunate to get lots of lovely presents from family and friends.  We held a Wedding gift List at Debenhams and we were lucky to receive all the dinner service we requested, along with other such gifts as duvet and pillows, lamp and shade, vases, a washing machine, tumble dryer, kitchen equipment, iron, a beautiful handmade quilt from Maureen who did our flowers on the wedding day, even a framed picture from our local ice-hockey team, the Fife Flyers of whom my dad is one of the Directors! Thanks everyone!

The next Showing of the Presents was held at Dysart Bowling Club, Kirkcaldy for friends and family of the Wishart Clan!  All the presents were brought through to Fife and displayed for the evening.
