| Tammy Hall Shropshire - After graduation, I had some much needed spinal surgery. Then I attended ACC and graduated from the Registered Nursing Program, but decided that it wasn't the career for me, and ended up taking tons of courses in Accounting and Bookkeeping and thus found my dream career which has been my primary area of employment for most of my life. However, I still keep my toes dipped into the medical field as an in-home patient caregiver volunteer with Hospice, and this is very meaningful and rewarding to me. I have been married for 13 years to my husband Dennis, and have one son, Forrest, from my first marriage who is now 23 years old. Now that makes me feel old! My hobbies are photography, reading, playing guitar, writing music, creative writing - both short stories and poetry, and I have been fortunate enough to be published in both of those genres. [Thanks to Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Hairston for all of that sentence diagraming and study of the classic authors in English!] And of course, I love computers. I discovered the home computer as a means to write faster than I could with pen and paper, and now I seem to spend hours in front of the computer screen! I work in Corporate Internal Audit for LabCorp in downtown Burlington, and live in Burlington with my husband and my second "child", my Shih Tzu "Nippy". I am very excited about our upcoming reunion and can't wait to see everyone and catch up! ~ Tammy Hall Shropshire | |||||||||||
| Ingo Schappacher - Greetings to everyone: Where has 30 years gone? I can't believe that time has gone so fast! I am looking forward to seeing everyone and bringing my lovely wife of almost 19 years, Michelle. (Many of you met her at the 10th and 15th reunions). We have two wonderful children, Marilyn, 17 and Andrew 13. They are both intelligent and beautiful and talented. Marilyn is a junior at a performing arts high school, majoring in theatre. She is ranked 3rd in her class and recently starred in her school's production of "You Can't Take it With You." She was nominated for a Governor's School Summer Program, and is awaiting the results of that audition. When she isn't acting, Marilyn competes in dance and plays drums. Andrew is attending a center-based gifted middle school and is also quite the thespian. He is involved in acting, singing and dancing and recently signed with "RD Frequency," which is the area's Radio Disney Pop Group. They will perform at local venues throughout the year and it gives him a great opportunity to entertain. He spent a year in Hollywood acting in several small films. He also danced in a television promo for The WB Saturday Morning Kids, shot national commericals and appeared in an episode of "Strong Medicine," a Lifetime Television series. Needless to say, we are busy. I am working for Alstom Power, Inc. as an engineer. I celebrated my 16th anniversary this fall. We recently built our "dream home," and enjoy painting and decorating it. My family is well. My Mom still lives in the house on Forest Drive. Unfortunately, my Dad passed away six years ago. My brother Ralf lives in Graham with his wife. He is a proud grandpa of two beautiful girls. In my "spare" time, I enjoy cooking, gardening and walking. Michelle, the children and I are looking forward to some traveling this year to New York City (her home town), and maybe the beach. We both look forward to the reunion and wish everyone well. ~ Ingo Schappacher | |||||||||||
