Our other Children

let us introduce you to our much loved

children Rosie and Milly they are a big part of our family   and give us so much love and affection

They are Staffodrshire Bull Terriers and are the most gentle little dogs with children you would ever want to have around your house

When our Grand children come to visit they are so gentle and will play with them for hours. and never get upset no matter how rough the kids get . they sleep by our bed on their own blankets but like all kids they love to get into bed with us. and they will play possum with ann and me pretending to be asleep so they wont be sent to their own beds.  you never hear them bark only if there is someone or something around that shouldn't be there.

I recently came across this passage and it is so wonderful and so simple. It is an easy way to look at living life. Unfortunately, we humans usually complicate the heck of out life.

• Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

• Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

• When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

• When it's in our best interest, practice obedience.

• Let others know when they have invaded your territory.

• Take naps and stretch before rising.

• Run, romp and play daily.

• Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.

• Be loyal.

• Never pretend to be something you are not.

• If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

• When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle him or her gently.

• Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

• Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

• On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.

• When you are happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

• No matter how often your scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout.

• Bond with your pack.

• Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

How much better and simpler life would be if we as humans could practice some of this. We are talking about taking care of you emotionally and physically.  I really love the one about not buying into the guilt thing or pouting. How many of us can identify with this one? Bonding with others is so important. Basically do not take like so darn seriously and have fun.
