His first residencies were in the Midlands at The Hangar, followed by a long run at The Que Club in Birmingham. He was the main MC for both Ultimate Orange and Till Sunrise, working with DJ Amir, Pace, and Addiction on a regular basis. He had weekly shows on both pirate radio (Mix FM) and internet radio (UK Rumble).
More recently, he has supported Moving Shadow, working with Ground Zero and Sandman, and had residencies in London for Daisho, Barely Legal, and Dekefeks. His style of MCing is different to most UK MCs, and draws on heavy influence from reggae MCs such as U-Roy and Eek-a-Mouse. His vocal style was influenced strongly during his time in Birmingham, most notably by other Drum n Bass MCs like Bassman, Long John, and Trigga.
Drift is now based in Bali, Indonesia, where he has a monthly residency at Double Six club.
