Murdering the DefencelessAustralians murder about 100,000 people a year! Yes! That's right! One hundred thousand people a year! But you won't hear a word in the media about this tragedy. If you don't believe those figures - refer to the table at the end of this commentary for Commonwealth Department of Human Resources and Health statistics from 1984 to 1996. In the four years from 1996 to now - the figure has increased to about 100,000 a year compared to about 260,000 live births. Note that the total we have killed is rapidly approaching a million
In fact, those who try to bring this to the publics' attention are criticised, vilified and demonised and accused of violating basic human rights. It's the ultimate hypocrisy!
Abortion in the vast majority of cases is murder. I make no apology for this statement. Almost all
abortions are carried out to get rid of an unwanted, 'inconvenient' human being. Not for any genuine
reason to save the life of the mother. Just sheer inconvenience. Or to cover up the effects of that
politically incorrect term these days - Sin!!Why do I say murder? Simple - under the Queensland Criminal Code the crimes of killing and murder are defined in the sections quoted here.
Definition of “killing”
293. Except as hereinafter set forth, any person who causes the death of another, directly or indirectly, by any means whatever, is deemed to have killed that other person.Definition of “murder”
302.(1) Except as hereinafter set forth, a person who unlawfully kills another under any of the following circumstances, that is to say—(a) if the offender intends to cause the death of the person killed or that of some other person or if the offender intends to do to the person killed or to some other person some grievous bodily harm;
(b) if death is caused by means of an act done in the prosecution of an unlawful purpose, which act is of such a nature as to be likely to endanger human life;
(c) if the offender intends to do grievous bodily harm to some person for the purpose of facilitating the commission of a crime which is such that the offender may be arrested without warrant, or for the purpose of facilitating the flight of an offender who has committed or attempted to commit any such crime;
(d) if death is caused by administering any stupefying or overpowering thing for either of the purposes mentioned in paragraph (c);
(e) if death is caused by wilfully stopping the breath of any person for either of such purposes;
is guilty of “murder”.Can the description of wilful, pre-meditated murder fit any better what happens when a completely innocent life is forcibly and deliberately sucked out of the one place in this world that one would expect a baby to be safe and then discarded like a piece of trash!!
So how is this gotten around? This is all declared okay because of the definition of a human being found in this section of the Criminal Code.
When a child becomes a human being
292. A child becomes a person capable of being killed when it has
completely proceeded in a living state from the body of its mother, whether
it has breathed or not, and whether it has an independent circulation or not,
and whether the navel-string is severed or not.How convenient, how simple to excuse this vile act by simply declaring that a child or baby is not a human being at all until it has been expelled from the womb.
Perhaps instead of health risk warnings on cigarette packets - we should concentrate on stating the basic biological fact ' Sex causes babies'.
If you don't want a baby the answer is ludicrously simple. Don't have sex! Or use one of the easily
obtained contraceptives. Can there really be an excuse for any unwanted pregnancy to be aborted
in this day and age when information about contraception and basic biology abounds in schools and the community generally.When a citizen or police officer shoots someone in self defence or in the prevention of a crime.
There is an immediate outcry and a call for an inquiry to determine if there is some way that the
citizen or officer can be found guilty of some offence.Usually phrases such as "No one deserves to be killed just for stealing", or headlines like "Officer
guns down suspect", deliberately calculated to infer wrong doing and that all killing is non justifiable, immediately hit the media headlines. The number of shootings that occur each year in Australia are still relatively small. The Australian Bureau of Statistics indicates that only 64 firearm related deaths happened in 1998/1999. When you compare this with the numbers killed through abortion each year - it really pales into insignificanceIf all killing is non justifiable - why is the evil of abortion on demand allowed to kill these thousands of completely defenceless would be Australians every year.
.
Any society that glibly brushes off the wholesale slaughter of this magnitude under the trite phrase 'A woman's right to choose' has not only lost it's way. It has forfeited any right to the blessings of God
as a nation and a people.© Graham Brown
