McDonalds in Folsom
Reusing Burgers returned from patrons in the dining area
I know there are 5 McDonalds in Folsom, but only one has pissed me off lately, a couple of ways but the latest takes the cake. If you are ever in Folsom, take warning if you eat at the McDonalds on East Bidwell St. in front of the 24 Hour Workout, Filco shopping center, that's the one.
We were out shopping and decided to get a bite. We went there to eat because we were in the area, and it was usually quick, We placed our order, and it was during the time you could get a cheeseburger for 39 Cents, and we ordered about 5 of them, some fries and drinks. While we were standing waiting for our food, a patron from the play area outside came to the counter and brought back 2 cheeseburgers, saying she hadn't ordered them. The person working the counter was also one of the 15 managers they have working there, places the 2 cheeseburgers on the tray with the cheeseburgers being made at the time, the completed tray. Marisa mentioned something about the Health Department and some requirement about handling like, "if food leaves the immediate control of the restaurant employee who is preparing or serving the food, it cannot be served to another patron.
I would not want to be served a burger that was in the hands of a stranger just moments ago! We lost count of the cheeseburgers at that point and told the lady person we didn't want any of those burgers and she had 5 more made for us but never threw away the ones in question. I complained to the management group that runs the place and they only wanted to buy me a breakfast or something. We don't eat there much anymore, they are still run by people not worth the money they are making.

Last year around Spring or 2003, we started to get a lot of mail that belonged to the next door neighbors. We have gotten some of their mail from time to time but it was becoming very often. The funny thing was that we never got anything from them. Later on in the year we got a notice that something should have been mailed, a utility bill or something, but we never received it. Eventually we were receiving our mail from various neighbors in the surrounding area, and we were delivering mail to our neighbors, the one's next door moved away, but we received the new neighbors mail.
Soon I had the last straw. Postal prices were always going up and the mail delivery was getting worse, so I complained. Well I complained to the wrong department (fraud) but they politely forwarded my complaint to the appropriate people and finally it got to Folsom. I received a "I'm so sorry" Email and an explanation that it must have been a sub and not the regular delivery person. Well I had few dates so I just shrugged it off.
It's now 2004 and just last week we received a large portion of our mail from the new neighbors across the street. She was sorry for not checking her mail for over 2 weeks, Wow!

Self Checkout Centers
I don't know if you heard about the thief that stole several credit cards and used them at a Home Depot in the self help center. He charged over $15,000 including items like a washer and dryer, miter saw, and never was carded for an ID.
Well my episode was not like that at all, but did involve the self help section. In fact I have tried to use the self help section 3 times and each time the thing didn't like what I was getting and required more assistance then if I had went to a regular checkout.
