| This is the debut release from the Panamanian black metal band SorrowStorm. The album is full of good, solid black metal and lasts for about forty-four minutes. They focus on more of a early to middle black metal sound with this release, mostly in the veins of early Emperor and Immortal. Breed the Tyrants opens up the disc and it reminds me of Emperor's Night of the Graveless Souls with some slight touches of Dimmu Borgir. Nocturnal Apparition opens up with clean vocals before it erupts into chaos. The title track, Caverns of Grief, has a cold, grim feeling to it, aided by the use of keyboards. Ensemble of Perdition has a sound similar to At the Heart of Winter era Immortal. Though this album is not excellent, it is a good start and I believe that they have a good future ahead of them.
