| There are those albums out there that are metal must haves. Heartwork by British metallers, Carcass, is one of those albums. These guys can be considered as one of the fathers of grind and they begin this album with no holding back. Buried Dreams is a great opening track where by the time it finishes it will have you screaming out "all you need is hate!" along with Jeff Walker. Picking up the pace a bit, Carnal Forge continues on where Buried Dreams left off. The title track, Heartwork, sliced through the intro riff where it levels off into the main riff, and the song is complete with some great squeals. This is a great album overall, a metal must have, and the band proves why they were one of the best of the early grind scene. Outstanding musicianship. Grade: B+ | |||||||||||
