| This is a great album. Dark, sorrowful, and majestic. Vintereferden opens it up with Nordic wind and spoken parts in Norwegian before going into the slow, doomy A Sovereign Fortress. Sorg opens up with very sombre and doomy woodwinds and slow Norwegian vocals. Gamlelandet is a doomy black metal opus and Kilden - Lik En Endelos Elv is the most black metal song on the album. About 1/3 of the way through it, it slows down and two vocal tracks are present, a high pitch and low pitch one and then strings fade in and dominate. With a very Medeival sound, Kongsblod opens up with horns and Nordic wind blowing. Then Medieval guitar comes in along with drums. When the vocals come in there are harmonic vocals in the background. This is a great doomy album and very dark. One of the best metal CDs the Christian market has to offer. Granted, it is one of the most expensive, but it is worth it when you get it. Track Listing: Spiritual Disease Materialistic Lie Depressed Searching Inmost Fear Under the Sun Thoughts Martyrium Mercy Lord |

| Originally this was their demo, but eventually Endtime Records distributed it. The entire album is doomy and dirgy, and has some great keyboard parts to it. Depressed starts of with piano, playing a familiar tune and then some tenor vocals come in. Eventually guitars and dirty vocals come in when it picks up pace. With a gloomy intro, Inmost Fear continues to remain a pretty dirge. The vocals are slow and gutteral. A very cool song. Opening up with a few drum beats and then thick organ, Mercy Lord stands out above the rest of their songs. It continues to remain doomy throughout the entire song, with the organ going strong and female vocals come in towards the end. Very beautiful. Grade: B+ | ||||||||||||||
