The Face of Darkness

I see the darkness face the day
as the light of goodnees runs astray
so now you think these walls are thin
the hills have eyes, when lights go dim
like shiny diamonds in the sky
the sun and moon, see eye to eye
the past is present, walking by
what is and was will testify
but history tries to change it's mind
until it's safe to believe it's lies
the theories, the dogma, the myths of sin
the doctine, the culture, the hate within
the love of God's, the love for man
it's here and gone then over-ran
the wicked, the rightous, the Holy Son
the writhing, the weak, the evil one
the heathen, the holy, the priest by day
nocturnal, the lost, and the birds of prey
