Sup Y'all,
Heres a rundown of what happened at this weeks graduate exhibition meeting:
Movie & Drinks Night Fundraiser Success !!
Thanks to everyone that came along on Friday night to the Movie and Drinks Night
fundraiser. It was a great success – we raised approximately $800 towards
our exhibition, and had heaps of fun (drinks) doing so.
The movie ‘bend it like beckham’ was excellent – and to top
it off, we went to the Leederville hotel afterwards for a few drinks and cheap
laughs!
Huge thanks to Sarah Morrison who organised and planned the
evening and those who helped to sell tickets. you guys are the coolest.
Exhibition Theme Brainstorm Think Tank this Friday !
How are you all going with your ideas and concepts for the graduate exhibition
theme?
This Friday the 9th of August we are ALL meeting in the main lecture theatre,
on the ground floor in the main Central Tafe building (not our wasadm building).
The lecture theatre is located on the ground floor – right near the entrance
that goes out to the alexander library.
Please, if you care about your graduate exhibition – come along,
and bring your ideas and concepts.
( Dont make me get the hose )
Even if you haven’t developed it very far, please tell us about your idea!
Its basically a concept brainstorm session, and a chance for everyone to have
a say in what they think the theme should be!! If you have visuals to back it
up – even better! But Basically we just need to know what your idea/concept
for the theme is, and how it will be applied & carried through. Go nuts
with it ! crazy ideas yo!
Please come along – it is really important, and we want your idea’s/opinions
and feedback. Lets make this the most creative, fun, kick-ass design exhibition
that Perth has ever seen!!
- main lecture theatre in Main Central Tafe building Friday 9th August 12:00pm
( lunchtime )
- entrance at alexander library side entrance.
- brainstorm session - bring ideas and concepts !!*
- students vote on best idea – designer of winning idea becomes 'art director'
of project.
- final concept / theme will then be fully developed and implemented.
*weird hat optional.
Student Exhibition Fees Due !
The second $50 installment of the $150 exhibition fee is due to be paid
by each student, by no later than Friday August 16th.
This can be paid to any of the representatives in your major elective classes.
Remember, if you dont pay your exhibition fee, you will unfortunately
not be able to exhibit, and the Tafe Pimp will be after you.
It's a team effort, if we dont all chip in and help, its not going to work.
If you have any questions, or problems with this, just email me (dan) or talk
to any of the commitee members at college.
Fundraiser Chocolates
Many thanks to those of you who have helped us to sell chocolates to raise money
for our exhibition - we really appreciate it.
We still have boxes of chocolates available to sell to raise funds for our graduate
exhibition. Please, if you can help us out with selling these chocolates, it
would be greatly appreciated. All money raised goes towards our Graduate Exhibition.
also.. there have been a few people asking me who they are supposed to give
the chocolate money to… Tracey or Sarah morrison or Michael Nash can sort
that out for you. cheers!
