There'll
come a time when this flesh shall decay,
I'll walk the paths of men no more;
I'll
be carried to my Lord far away,
And meet Him on that lovely shore.
Nevermore
will I face tribulation,
No more will my eyes fill with tears;
In that
land there'll be no more temptation:
And Jesus will banish all fears.
I'll
be joined with my loved ones forever,
There we'll sit 'neath the Savior's throne;
Death
will no more have power to sever
When to Heaven at last I've flown.
I'll
see Peter, James and John, even Paul,
I'll speak with this world's greatest sages;
I'll
dwell with the ones who answered His call:
The sanctified of all ages.
So when
comes the time for this flesh to die,
Don't worry or shed bitter tears;
I'll
meet you up in the sweet by and by,
The sweet homecoming day now nears.
