Truly Livin’

Our days on earth are short, we know,
 We fly then off to heaven;
Just how we live while here below
 Shows if we’re truly livin’.

So live each day while here on earth,
 Don’t wait until tomorrow…
Enjoy each gift for all it’s worth,
 Else you shall die in sorrow.

Enjoy the birds, the bumblebees,
 Each day from morn till nightfall,
Take time to sing, be filled with glee!
 Who knows when comes the death call?

We can turn back if what we do
 Shall bring us naught but sorrow,
But if in death we bid adieu…
 For us, there’s no tomorrow.

So live and sing and shout with glee,
 Let’s live and not just exist;
Your inner self you should set free!
 Such pleasure – who can resist?

Let’s share the joy we’ve come to know
 With others along the way,
And take the time our love to show
 To someone every day.

Come now with me off in a song,
 Let’s fly to places unknown…
Our journey may be very long,
 In fact, we may not come home!

Let’s stay away off in our song,
 Let’s live our lives to the most!
‘Tis true, the way here oft grows long –
 But someday we’ll be but ghosts.

Our days on earth are short, we know,
 We fly then off to heaven;
Just how we live while here below
 Shows if we’re truly livin’.
