He
knew the things that he should do,
He
had been, by godly ones taught;
He
thought he’d come ere life was through:
Time
was plenty… or, so he thought.
The
stuff of which life is made, “Time”,
How
much time is left no one knows;
The
foolish person sings this rhyme,
As
busily onward he goes:
“I’ve
but one life in which to live,
My
soul for a good time I’ll give.”
“So
many things to see and do,
How
wonderful are this world’s ways;
I’ll
come to Him ere life is through…
In
the end He shall have my praise…”
The
stuff of which life is made, “Time”,
How
much time is left no one knows;
The
foolish person sings this rhyme,
As
busily onward he goes:
“I’ve
but one life in which to live,
My
soul for a good time I’ll give.”
A
young man’s soul is tossed and turned,
Many
forces vie for its love;
The
lessons of life must be learned
Lest
he miss that home up above.
The
stuff of which life is made, “Time”,
How
much time is left no one knows;
The
foolish person sings this rhyme,
As
busily onward he goes:
“I’ve
but one life in which to live,
My
soul for a good time I’ll give.”
A
workingman’s life is so full
That
he seldom finds time to rest,
The
riches of life on him pull
Till
he scarce can tell what is best.
The
stuff of which life is made, “Time”,
How
much time is left no one knows;
The
foolish person sings this rhyme,
As
busily onward he goes:
“I’ve
but one life in which to live,
My
soul for a good time I’ll give.”
An
old man is set in his ways,
And
although he meant to obey
Because
of the endless delays
Still
he walks not in the Lord’s way.
The
stuff of which life is made, “Time”,
How
much time is left no one knows;
The
foolish person sings this rhyme,
As
busily onward he goes:
“I’ve
but one life in which to live,
My
soul for a good time I’ll give.”
Friend,
tell me, how long will you live?
Oh,
when will you draw your last breath?
Your
sins the Lord wants to forgive,
Too
late it will be after death.
The
stuff of which life is made, “Time”,
How
much time is left no one knows;
The
foolish person sings this rhyme,
As
busily onward he goes:
“I’ve
but one life in which to live,
My
soul for a good time I’ll give.”
