I
see many in this world ev’ry day
Who
live as though they do not have a care,
I
guess they think they’ll never fly away…
This
false notion multitudes seem to share.
Perhaps
they think their death they may delay,
But,
how – they must confess, they’re unaware;
The
truth is, there’s a price we all must pay…
In
the end such must their own burdens bear.
It
doesn’t matter what I do or say,
And
it matters not just how I may fare;
I
know that I’ll leave this old world some day:
There’s
a stone with my name on it somewhere.
I
try to live for Jesus ev’ry day,
I’m
happy to on Him cast all my care;
I
know some morning I shall fly away…
Then
heaven’s glory with Him I will share.
I
knew to come to Him without delay,
Life’s
short – of that I am not unaware;
The
blood of Jesus for my sins will pay…
I
know He’ll help me all my burdens bear.
It
doesn’t matter what I do or say,
And
it matters not just how I may fare;
I
know that I’ll leave this old world someday:
There’s
a stone with my name on it somewhere.
Come
to Jesus, my friend, this very day,
And
gladly on Him cast your ev’ry care;
Some
morning from this world you’ll fly away…
How
He longs your ev’ry burden to share.
Won’t
you now come to Him without delay?
Life
passes quickly, be not unaware;
The
blood of Jesus for your sins will pay…
And
He’ll help you all your burdens to bear.
It
doesn’t matter what you do or say,
And
it matters not just how you may fare;
You
know that you’ll leave this old world someday:
There’s
a stone with your name on it somewhere.
