Someone Who’ll Help You

When the dark of the night
Lingers on through the day,
And for you there seems to be no relief;
You’ve no strength left to fight,
Your friends have gone away…
And you fear that you soon will come to grief –

There’s someone who’ll help you,
He will your burden share;
If you’ll come to Him, trust Him, and obey.
He’ll see you safely through,
Cast upon Him your care:
Why now tarry, dear fellow, come today!

Your body is weary,
Your spirit is broken,
And you wonder if you’ll find a way out;
Your prospects seem dreary,
Your deep fears unspoken…
Leave you aimlessly wandering about –

There’s someone who’ll help you,
He will your burden share;
If you’ll come to Him, trust Him, and obey.
He’ll see you safely through,
Cast upon Him your care:
Why now tarry, dear fellow, come today!

No mountain is too high,
No valley is too low,
In fact, there is nothing that He can’t do;
This Savior is close by,
And one thing you should know:
He is pleading and calling out to you –

“I am here to help you,
I will your burden share,
If you’ll come to me, trust me, and obey;
I’ll see you safely through,
Cast upon me your care,
Why now tarry, dear fellow, come today!”
