..........Come Unto Me..........
When ends
life's troubles here,
As death
is drawing near,
Our hope and stay
On that great day
Must be
our Savior dear.
We know
not where or when
We'll
leave the paths of men,
If old or young,
Our last song sung:
We must
be free from sin.
Of rices,
pow'r, and might,
And earthly
honors bright,
Only the Lord,
(So saith His word),
Can take
us through the night.
Do not
delay, my friend,
For all
come to one end:
If rich or poor,
All reach that shore,
On Christ
we must depend.
"Come unto
me," we read,
"And to
my word give heed,"
"Turn not again,
Unto your sin,
My Strength
is all you need."

..........I Never Thought To Help..........
He helped
her from the dusty car
In his
eyes she shone like a star
He pulled her chair
With loving care
And placed her there...
I never
thought to help.
They made
their way up to the door
I saw
the awful load they bore
Their bodies bent
Their spirits rent
Their youth long spent...
I never
thought to help.
At first
the door he pulled ajar
But fate
his plans began to mar
He tried to pass
The door of glass
He sighed, "Alas..."
I never
thought to help.
My heart
within then broke for them
With reverent
awe I looked on him
For her I felt
My spirit melt
The hand life dealt...
I never
thought to help.
From now
on when I see a need
I'll meet
it with a godly deed
I'll lend a hand
And take my stand
Through life's low land...
I'll think,
my friend, to help.

This grew
out of an actual event, at a local fast food establishment.
Reflecting
on the events, I couldn't believe that I never thought to help.

..........Heaven..........
Some happy
morning in Heaven I'll wake,
Of His
endless blessings I'll then partake;
Here I heard and believed,
His blest Word I obeyed,
Forgiveness I received,
He all my fears allayed:
And His
precious Name I did not forsake.
My loved
ones in glory I will see then,
Far removed
from the pain that plagues we men;
With no heartaches, no strife,
No suffering, no death,
Just sweet eternal life,
If I've done as He saith:
We will
finally be free from all sin!
I know
I'll see Jesus, when I'm up there,
In that
precious Homeland, wondrously fair,
"Well done," I'll hear Him say,
The race I'll then have run;
Oh, come! sweet happy day:
I long to hear, "Well done!"
How I
long for that Hallelujah Square!
