When
I need a friend to comfort

help me along life’s hard way

to the One who loves me
He welcomes
me without delay.
He always
knows just what I need
He never
leaves me here alone,
In Him
I know I’ll have a friend
Like
no friend man has ever known.
He’s
not a friend in word alone
Nor
only when my life goes well,
He’s
there to cleanse me from my sins
He’s
there to rescue me from Hell.
He knows
my weakness and my sin,
But
still He loves and cares for me;
To Him
I’ll be faithful and true
For
by His blood He’s set me free.
