When
you think of me,
After
I am gone,
Think
only of the good times – not the bad.
Know
that I am free,
All
my work is done –
I would
not like to think that you’ll be sad.
Weep
not for me then,
Know
that I’m at peace,
At rest
– awaiting Resurrection Day;
There
I’ll know no sin,
From
all – sweet release…
Remember,
you’ll be joining me someday.
We had
happy years,
Great
joy came our way –
We had
to know that someday it would end;
Shed
not bitter tears,
Put
your grief away,
And
put your trust in Jesus – He’s your friend.
Cry if
you must cry,
We shall
meet once more –
I’ll
wait for you inside the pearly gate!
In our
home on high,
Near
the peaceful shore,
You’ll
find me, dear, for there for you I’ll wait.
