Our sympathy is expressed to Alyne Blevins and family in the loss of her sister-in-law, Grace Hartley.  Mrs. Hartley was buried yesterday.

The sign-up sheet for THOSE TO SERVE 2002 was posted yesterday -- please take occasion to fill in the blanks as soon as possible!

The TV Show -- SPEAKING WHERE THE BIBLE SPEAKS -- is scheduled to air this evening at 7:00 P.M. on GRACEBA TOTAL COMMUNICATIONS CABLE 6!  The episode is entitled, "Do You Love The Truth?".  It is also scheduled to air in both the Ashford and the Dothan Markets Friday at 9:00 A.M.  We invite you to watch it if you can!

NOW FOR THE SUMMARIES OF YESTERDAYS' ASSEMBLIES:

Wilburn Roney led the song before the adult class in the auditorium yesterday morning, and he also led the prayer.  Tim Smith taught the class from Mark 5 and 6.  We also answered the questions on Mark 5.

Tim Smith made the announcements before the worship service, and (as you can see above), there were a lot of them!  Coby Smith did his usual great job leading singing!  Jerry Gant worded our opening prayer.  Glenn Russell presided at the Lord's Table, and was assisted by Paul Suggs, Tim Smith, and Blake Epperson.  Casey Smith dismissed us (filling in for Gary Wolfe).

In singing class last evening I had the presence of mind to write the leaders and their numbers down so that we might have the following complete record of events:

Tim Smith led the first song, # 406 "O Worship the King" (all 3 verses).
Rett Russell led the first and last verse of # 25.
Cody Russell led the first and last verse of # 27 "As The Life Of A Flower".
Coby Smith led the first and last verse of # 402 "O They Tell Me Of A Home".
C.J. Smith led the first and last verse of # 585 "Heaven's Jubilee".
Stan Smith led the first and last verse of # 37 "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."
Glenn Russell led the first and last verse of # 584 "To Canaan’s Land".
George Blevins led the first and last verse of # 303 "Just over in the Glory Land".
EThell Kilgore led the first and last verse of # 295 "Everybody Ought To Know".
EThell Kilgore led the first and last verse of # 305 "Juse One Way to the Gate".

Tim Smith made the announcements before the worship.  Coby Smith agreed to lead our singing again (filling in for Alex White, who, along with his family, was out of town).  Coby did a very good job.  Glenn Russell (substituting for Jimmy Kilgore) led the first prayer, Stan Smith presided at the Lord's Table, and Rob Taylor dismissed us with prayer.  Visitation Teams 3 and 4 both met briefly following the worship.

We had our monthly meal for December last evening in the annex!  Freda Smith did a very good job as hostess and it was well-supported (good turnout) and everyone had a good time.

I hope that you will have a safe and happy week!  See you Wednesday Evening!  Tim Smith
