Enon News for Monday December 3, 2001!

Volume 1 Number 13

*******************************************************

Greetings!  I hope you are doing well today!  We begin with some sad news -- Doran Deal's sister (Ethel) passed away yesterday afternoon.  She had been a heart patient for some time and died suddenly at home.  Our sympathy is extended to the family.  Arrangements are not as yet complete.

The sick list (as read yesterday) follows:

Nursing Home Residents:  Mary Elmore, Alberta Roney.
Sick:  Jerri Bowen, Julie Bowen, Luneal Russell, Winifred Capps, Bertha Johnson, EThell Kilgore, Callie Kilgore, John Henry Brown (brother Jesse Brown's brother), Floyd Turk, Ted Epperson, Ethan Wolfe, Hugh and Janie Summerlin, Charlotte Mobley (underwent brain surgery in N.C. on Tuesday of this week), Jack Gott, Jimmy Enfinger, Doran and Norma Deal; Jimmy Kilgore; Wanda Montgomery; and many others.

On to the summaries --

Wilburn Roney led the song before Bible Class yesterday morning, and he led the prayer.  Tim Smith taught from the fourth and fifth chapters of Mark, and we answered the questions on chapter 4.  Participation was good and I believe the session was beneficial.

Tim Smith made announcements before the morning worship and Stan Smith (substituting for Coby) led the singing (he did a very good job).  Jerry Gant led the opening prayer.  Rob Taylor presided at the Table and was assisted by Blake Epperson, Ethan Wolfe (substituting for Lee Wolfe), and Tim Smith.  Tim Smith preached on men described as "mighty" in the Bible, and Ray Wiehe led the closing prayer.

The men had their every-other-month business meeting at 5:00 P.M. in the annex (postponed from last week).  Having been present, I am happy to report that all went well and I have every confidence that the work will be benefited by the decisions that were made!

Singing class was well attended!  I shan't venture an attempt at naming all of the leaders this time, but no one had to go twice!

Tim Smith made the announcements before the evening worship, and Stan Smith did another great job leading the singing.  George Blevins worded the first prayer, Tim Smith preached on some lessons to be learned from the Old Testament Story of Noah.  Glenn Russell presided at the Lord's Table, and David Summerlin dismissed us.

Visitation Team One met following the worship.  That means Team Two is up next week.

That's about all for now.  Remember the TV Show this evening at 7:00 P.M. (in the Ashford Market) on GRACEBA TOTAL COMMUNICATIONS CABLE 6.  It is called -- MOSES:  GREAT EXAMPLE OF LEADERSHIP.  Have a nice day!

Tim Smith
