Greetings!  I do hope this special weekend is kind to you.  Things are well at the Smith house, and Freda is expected to return home tomorrow, Lord willing.  On to the summary of the Wednesday Evening assembly.

I led song #8, "A CHARGE TO KEEP I HAVE", before class this week, and Garry Wolfe led the first prayer.  We studied the Good Samaritan, based on a sermon written by Michael Hatcher and originally prepared for Glenn Russell to teach while I was away this past September (a video tape was used instead then so I thought I would go ahead and use the printed material).  The discussion and participation in general was good!

Following the Classes, Chad White did a very good job leading singing!  I read the Scripture Text, substituting for Jimmy Kilgore.  Paul Suggs gave a great invitation (he and Glenn do so well on those!).  I made the closing announcements, and Stan Smith worded a beautiful prayer to dismiss us.

The crowd was greatly effected in an adverse way (nice, huh???) due to the festive celebration of the week (Thanksgiving), but those assembled enjoyed the service.

The TV show today is to be CAN WE TRUST OUR BIBLE? Lesson I.  It originally aired earlier this year and may be seen on GRACEBA TOTAL COMMUNICATIONS CABLE 6 in both the Ashford and Dothan Markets at 9:00 A.M.

The sick list was not read in full Wednesday, so we will not give it in full here.  Floyd Turk was unable to be with us and Freda's dad, Jack Gott, has had the "stint" removed following his surgery and the reports are that no new cancer was discovered.  Let us remember these, and all of the sick, in our prayers.

Have a nice weekend, be careful, and hopefully I'll see you Sunday!  Tim
