Enon News for Monday November 12, 2001!

*******************************************************

Greetings!  Happy Veterans Day (observed today)!  Let's get started with a summary of yesterday...

Wilburn Roney led the song before Bible Class in the auditorium yesterday morning, (Do All In The Name Of The Lord).  Alex White led the prayer, and I taught from Mark 3.  We had a pretty good crowd and I think the class went very well.  As usual, Bobby Roney rang the bell to mark the end of class...

I made the announcements before worship yesterday, during which (among other things) I took occasion to thank those who served in the Armed Forces for their service to our nation.  Jimmy Kilgore led the singing, Rob Taylor led the first prayer, Stan Smith headed the Lord's Table and was assisted by David Summerlin, Chad White, and myself.  I preached on heaven.  Paul Suggs led the closing prayer.

Our numbers were a bit off in singing class (some of our leaders were out-of-town).  I led the first one, followed by Alex White, Chad White, Cody Russell, Rett Russell, Glenn Russell, C.J. Smith, (and if there be any other, I cannot recall him this morning...)

I made the announcements before the P.M. worship, Glenn Russell did a great job leading the singing, Ray Wiehe led a beautiful opening prayer, I preached on priorities, no one needed to take the Lord's Supper last evening, and Jerry Gant led a lovely last prayer.

I shall leave the sick list off of this issue, due largely to the fact that I left the one I used at the building and since there are some handwritten additions to the typed copy prepared here at home, and further since I can't remember some of those names, let's just remember "all of the sick" in our prayers...

This evening at 7:00 P.M. THE LADIES BIBLE CLASS meets in the Annex.  Freda Smith is the teacher, and the lesson is Chapter 26 -- "If A Man Die, Shall He Live Again?" -- Job 14:14.  That is found on page 143 (beginning) in the lesson textbook Greatest Questions In The Old Testament, written by Leroy Brownlow.  We encourage all ladies to attend!

The TV show SPEAKING WHERE THE BIBLE SPEAKS airs at 7:00 P.M. this evening in the Ashford market!  Tune in Graceba Total Communications Cable 6 and see the episode (newly made) dealing with the importance of making proper decisions in timely fashion -- Can You Make Up Your Mind?

Ann Knight, the hostess for the monthly meal in November, will host that meal next Sunday evening (11-18) after the worship next door to the auditorium in the annex!  We encourage you to keep this in mind!
Enough said -- have a great week!  Thanks.  Tim
