Volume I Number 4

Good morning to you!  I hope all is well with you.  Let's get right to the recap of last night's activities:

I led the song before Bible Class -- Send the Light.  George Blevins led the first prayer.  I taught from Psalm 81 and then the class answered the questions at the end of the lesson.  We looked at a couple of sentences at the beginning of Psalm 82 also before time ran out.

For the devotional, Stan Smith led the singing, I read the Scripture (Proverbs 9:7-12), Glenn Russell extended the invitation, I made the announcements, and then Paul Suggs was called on to dismiss us (Jimmy Kilgore was scheduled but was absent).  Glenn and Stan did very well in their respective services.

As for the sick list, it was (is) as follows:

Luneal Russell, Glenn Russell; Sheila Mills; Jack Gott; Winifred Capps, Mollie Phillips; Tammie Phillips; Thelma Greenwood (hospitalized in Arkansas - George Blevins' sister); Bertha Johnson; Ruby Carpenter; Steve King; EThell Kilgore; Paul Suggs; Shanda Jones; Scott Downs; Loren Crawford; Wayne Crawford; Merle Whatley; and many others.

It was good to have Glenn Russell with us last evening, although he still wasn't feeling up to par.  Blondell Cross (EThell and Allie's sister) had cataract surgery yesterday and sister Allie was taking care of her last evening.  EThell Kilgore wasn't able to be with us.

Jack Gott, Freda's father, is scheduled to undergo surgery today.  Some years back he had cancer in his bladder and tests have revealed suspicious places in his kidneys etc. so the doctors are going in to check things out and to do such as they can if need be.  Your prayers in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Mollie Phillips, Angela Killingsworth's mother, is scheduled for open-heart surgery at SAMC, though I don't presently know just when.  Her sister-in-law, Tammie Phillips, underwent a Hysterectomy earlier this week and remains in SAMC.

Winifred Capps remains in 674 undergoing tests.  Let us keep all of these in our prayers.

Let's remember SPEAKING WHERE THE BIBLE SPEAKS tomorrow (Friday) at 9:00 A.M.!  It is to air in both the Ashford and Dothan markets.  Let's also remember the bible classes and worship services Sunday!

May God Bless You as You Study and Obey His Word.  Tim
