Enon News for Monday February 4, 2002

Volume 1 Number 28

*******************************************************

Greetings!  I hope your Monday is going well.  Let's get started with the summaries of the assemblies at Enon yesterday:

Tim Smith led the song (O WORSHIP THE KING) before the adult Bible Class (W. Roney was at the hospital with Alberta Roney, his mother -- see below).  Paul Suggs worded the prayer before class.  Tim Smith delivered the lesson, answering the questions on Mark 7 and then reading and beginning the discussion of Mark 8.  Class participation was good and the lesson seemed to go well.

Paul Suggs made the announcements before the A.M. Worship, and he did a very good job!  He and Glenn Russell, who was scheduled to make the announcements before both worship assemblies yesterday, traded (Paul is scheduled for next week) because Paul and his family will be out of town on vacation next weekend.  Jimmy Kilgore (substituting for Coby Smith) led the singing in the worship hour, and he did a good job!  Jerry Gant worded a lovely first prayer.  Rob Taylor presided at the Lord's Table, and was assisted by Alex White (substituting for Blake Epperson, who was sick), Chad White (substituting for Lee Wolfe), and Tim Smith (substituting for Joel Wolfe).  Tim Smith delivered a lesson dealing with various characteristics of Christians.  Floyd Turk dismissed us with a prayer.

Following the A.M. Worship, a Bible was presented to Casey Smith for Jackson Cole Smith, who made his first appearance here at Enon!  Due to his health problems, brother Kilgore was unable to make the presentation and Tim Smith stood in for him.  We wish Casey and family the very best!

Singing class went well enough, although many of our "leaders" were unable to attend.  We certainly appreciate all of our men who support this good work!

Paul Suggs made the announcements before the P.M. Worship and did another good job.  Chad White did a very good job leading singing!  Glenn Russell (substituting for Jerry Gant) led the first prayer.  Tim Smith delivered a lesson on the all-sufficiency of the Scriptures in equipping the Christian with all that he needs to do the work of God.  Rob Taylor presided at the Lord's Table, and Alex White worded our closing prayer.  Visitation Team 1 met following the worship.

The announcements were as follows:
