Enon News for Monday January 17, 2001!

Volume 1 Number 23

*******************************************************

Greetings!

A happy Thursday afternoon/evening to you!  I hope all is well with you and your family.

Let’s start with an update on EThell Kilgore’s condition – as of 1:50 P.M. he was put in a room!!! That made for a very long day of sitting in a waiting room for his family, but things are now more comfortable.  I spoke on the phone with Ruth, his daughter, moments ago and she said that all was going along very well.  He is in room 755.  To call him directly (without having to use the hospital operator), dial the following number: 1-334-712-3755.  You must use all of those numbers (in that order…) even if you are calling locally.  They solicit our prayers.

As for the assembly last evening at Enon, I believe it was a good one!  Wilburn Roney led the song before the lesson for the adult class, and he also led the prayer.  I don’t know what we would do without him!!!  Tim Smith taught the remainder of Psalm 84 and then started 85.  The class moved along pretty well and didn’t seem to be too boring… if it was, no one said so, anyway.

Stan Smith led the singing for the devotional period, and did his usual superb job.  Tim Smith read from Proverbs 11:16-20, and Paul Suggs challenged us to self-examination with his stirring invitation.  Tim Smith made the announcements, and I have forgotten who dismissed us – sorry.

Now for the announcements as they were carried to the lectern –
