Greetings!  I hope this finds you doing well.  We are "full-speed" around here again, and that is the way it should be.  Let's start with the announcements from last evening's assembly:

The shower in honor of Casey and Michelle Smith has had to be postponed, but will be rescheduled by Mary Kirkland, Lisa White, and Freda Smith at a later date.

Ladies Bible Class is set to meet this Monday (01-14-2002) at 7:00 P.M. in the annex!

Visitation Team Two is to meet this Lord's Day Evening following the Evening Worship.

Now for the summary --

Wilburn Roney led the song before the adult Bible class, and did his usual good job!  Ray Wiehe directed our thoughts as we approached our Father in prayer.  Tim Smith taught the class, beginning with the questions on Psalm 83.  We then proceeded with the text of Psalm 84, a most difficult song.

Chad White (filling for his dad) led the singing in the devotional period -- he did very well!  Tim Smith (substituting for the ill Paul Suggs) read the scripture -- Proverbs 11:6-15, making up for last week's missed reading and including this week's reading.  Tim Smith (filling in for Glenn Russell, who -- with his mother's illness and a particularly hectic work-week asked to be relieved this week) gave the invitation.  It was based on the scripture reading.  Rob Taylor (filling in for David Summerlin) closed with prayer.
It was a good evening at Enon!  We enjoyed studying together the Lord's Word and fellowshipping with each other.

I taped SPEAKING WHERE THE BIBLE SPEAKS, Season 8, Show 1 this morning!  We have been in "encore presentations" (repeats) for several weeks, as is our habit through the holidays, and it was good to get back at it.  The show, which is scheduled to air Monday 01-14 and Friday 01-18, is called, "The Way Of The Cross".  It has a special feature this week -- a tribute to my youngest daughter, Amanda, in honor of her sixteenth birthday!  Several photographs are featured during the songs and prayer and introduction.

The ENON ENDEAVOR for Sunday January 20, 2002 is complete!  In fact, I emailed it (along with the ARTICLE OF THE WEEK) to brother Russell this morning and copied it at the church building after dinner.  It features a poem by H. L. Gradowith (Thou Knowest Not...), an article by Tim Smith (Prepare To Meet Thy God), and a piece from DAILY HUMOR.  It is set to be mailed Monday and most local residents receive it Wednesday (01-16).

Glenn has been having trouble with his computer and therefore the ENON PAGE is a little behind.  He is working feverishly to get it up and running, and as soon as he does all will return to normal.  He does such great work, and we appreciate every bit of it!

As the recipients of the GRADOWITH POEMS mailing list know, I completed a poem today also -- THE ROAD.  All in all, it has been a busy Thursday!  I have more to do, so I'll close for now.  Have a great week, and see you Sunday...  Tim
