Enon News for Monday January 7, 2002
Volume 1 Number 20
*******************************************************
Greetings – For the first time in 2002!  We had no assembly on the second of January, as there were Winter Storm warnings out and we thought it better that no one travel.  Here are the summaries of yesterday’s assemblies:
Wilburn Roney led the song and the prayer before the Adult Bible Class yesterday – and he did his usual great job!  Tim Smith taught from Mark 6 and the class participation was very good.  All in all it was a great Bible Class period!
Glenn Russell did a wonderful job making announcements yesterday morning before the worship!  Coby Smith did his usual great job leading the singing also.  Rob Taylor (filling in for Paul Suggs) led the first prayer, Tim Smith (filling in for Stan Smith) was head of the Lord’s Table and was assisted by Lee Wolfe, Joel Wolfe, and Blake Epperson – all 3 of them did ver well!  Tim Smith preached a lesson from Amos 4:12 – Prepare To Meet Thy God.  David Summerlin dismissed us with prayer.
Singing class was a little slim Sunday Evening, as some were working, some sick, and some out of town.  Tim Smith was more than a little off his normal voice last evening – so much so that we “got ready for preaching” about 5 minutes earlier than usual.  On the whole, though, we had a very nice time at it…
Tim Smith (filling in for Glenn Russell – see below) made announcements before the evening worship.  Alex White did a very good job leading the singing!  Jerry Gant worded the opening prayer.  Tim Smith preached a lesson on some lessons we can learn from Postage Stamps (you had to be there to get it…).  Tim Smith (filling in for Stan Smith) presided at the Table, and Floyd Turk led the closing prayer.  Visitation Team One met following the worship.
