WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?  Hear the Gospel (Romans 10:17), Believe the Gospel (Hebrews 11:6), Repent of Sins (Acts 2:38), Confess Faith in Christ (Acts 8:37), be baptized (Acts 22:16), and remain faithful, even to the point of death (Revelation 2:10).  May we assist you in becoming a faithful Christian?

THE WILD SEA

                       1                                                                                              7
Adrift on the wild sea of life                                        What makes us think we'll never fall?
We're tossed to and fro in the wind;                             What makes us think we'll never die?
So many will fall in the strife:                                       We know that death comes unto all,
But some will survive to the end.                                  We know it looms ever close by.

                      2                                                                                              8
To enter the fray we've no choice,                                Why, then, do we not here prepare
To avoid it there is no way;                                           For what we know is drawing near?
The victors shall surely rejoice,                                     Those ready shall be happy there,
The vanquished shall be sent away.                               In the arms of the Savior, dear.

                     3                                                                                             9
The crown goes not to those who fight,                         What stands between the sinful man
For all men must fight to survive;                                  And the Power that sets him free?
The crown goes to those who live right!                        What let's the lame and feeble stand,
'Tis that group that comes forth alive.                            And the hurting soul shout with glee?

                    4                                                                                           10
True many shall meet with success,                              'Tis simply to hear and believe,
As this world counts success, at least;                           Repent of all sins and confess,
But unless their sins they confess,                                 Be baptized -- and then you'll receive
In death they shall fall with the beast.                            The secret to true happiness.

                   5                                                                                           11
Many have come to great power,                                  It's good for the rich and the poor,
And conquered the worlds of their day;                         It fits large and small just the same;
But when they come to their last hour                           And none could hope for any more
They'll see all their kingdoms decay.                             Than is offered through Jesus' Name.

                   6                                                                                         12
Yes, many have drawn away men                                So lay down all the petty things
And led them astray from the Lord,                              No matter how precious they be;
So persuasive their words were then,                            And receive that which Jesus brings:
Still all shall be judged by His Word.                              Peace and rest beyond the wild sea.

THE WINDS OF CHANGE

So many who once stood so fast have fallen, these are troubled days,
So dishonest, so deceiving, so immoral are the ways
That find favor and acceptance in this world of wicked men:
Said the Prophet, "From the greatest to the least" all walk in sin.

As the Father up in Heaven watches, shedding holy tears,
O'er the conflict raging bitter for so many, many years:
Why, despite the many battles, is there still so much to do?
Tell me, brother, are you faithful, and, can He depend on you?

We see Holy Institutions like the Savior's Precious Church
Being left alone to face the devil sitting on his perch.
She is left out of the plans we make and fighting for her life
While the wicked ones bring on her sons such trouble, pain, and strife.

Oh, so long has gone the time when men and women said, "I do",
And then sought to find a way to make their fondest dreams come true.
With no thought of what they promised then they live their lives in sin,
They forget that sinners God will judge, the wicked He'll condemn.

We don't seem to find the time these days to thank Him as we should
We forget that in His loving mercy He did all He could.
We're too busy seeking fame and fortune -- we've no time to pray:
Oh so stubborn and so sinful we from His love turn away.

I'm convinced that we could turn again and do the things that please,
But I fear we're too contented lying on our beds of ease
To think of Him who died on the tree to take us home on high:
It's as though we think that we shall live, but, never come to die.

And what about the little babies that are killed before birth?
"For convenience and pleasure," you say?  Is that all they are worth?
They didn't do anything wrong -- still they're forced to pay the price:
On the altar of freedom their little lives we sacrifice.

I guess it shouldn't be surprising, for we've lost all respect,
The Banner of the Cross of Christ now lies dusty in neglect;
The heroes of the faith have all been brought to shame and defaced,
It seems our memories of blessings past have all been erased.

What happened to the faithful few who once stood up for the Lord?
What's wrong with trusting and obeying and living by the Word?
Who changed the rules and authorized these wicked ways, anyhow?
We'd better repent, and listen friends, we'd better do it now!

We can send a man to the moon and beyond, yes, it is true;
But remember it wasn't an astronaut who died for you!
And we can even send a man to the bottom of the sea:
But there's no scientist who has the power to set you free.

What we need is not better medicine, or a longer life;
For it's only in Christ Jesus that we rise above the strife.
We need to start doing the things that are well pleasing, my friend,
For the Lord alone is strong enough to save us in the end.
