DEAR GOD:
Dear God --
I know I often stumble Washed me in the crimson tide,
And fail to do as I should, And took all my sins away.
Help me to never grumble What have I done to merit?
For Thou, Lord, art ever Good. Such wonderful love and care?
Thy blessings come in showers, Still stand I to inherit
My sins come in showers, too; In heaven a mansion fair!
There are no greater powers, So help me each day to give
No Other Friend is so true, My best to Jesus the Lord;
For Thou hast stood by my side, My life for Him let me live
And helped me along the way And follow His Blessed Word.
In Jesus' Name, A-men.

AS ON I GO
So many times I try and fail
I may not build a palace fair
It matters not if I achieve
I work and pray to no avail
Nor in this old world's riches share
Some greatness e'er I this world leave
The Tempter comes and I give in
I may not touch anothers' heart
For greater things are held in store
At best I'm still a man of sin
Nor cause the seas to sunder part
For me on that eternal shore!
But this I know
But this I know
For this I know
And this I see
And this I see
And this I see
As on I go
As on I go
As on I go
My Lord loves me.
My Lord loves me.
My Lord loves me.
