Rejoice
in the Lord and His tender care,
For
us He died on the Cross;
To Calv’ry
He went, our sins all to bear,
For
us He suffered such loss.
In thinking
of all that we have achieved,
How
proud of ourselves we grow;
We must
be careful lest we be deceived
For
He made it all we know.
No one
can erase the guilt of his sin
Without
the Old Rugged Cross;
“There
is none righteous…” is true of all men,
For
us He suffered such loss.
The
Lord saw our plight and came to our aid,
While
we were yet sinners, friend;
And
with His own blood for our sins He paid
On
none else may we depend.
Despised
and rejected at ev’ry turn,
On
Him the Lord laid our sin;
The
way to heaven from Him we may learn:
The
new life will you begin?
We often
think not of what He has done,
As
we our busy lives live;
We seem
to forget He’s God’s Precious Son:
What
more could anyone give?
Rejoice
in the Lord and His tender care,
For
us He died on the Cross;
To Calv’ry
He went, our sins all to bear,
For
us He suffered such loss.
