Here
I stumble upon
Many
stones on the way
To eternity's
dawn,
The
bright glorious day;
Yet
still onward I press
By the
dictates of God,
Knowing
that He will bless
As the
pathway I trod.
When
temptation I meet,
He is
there to assist;
And
with victory sweet
I'm
blessed if I persist
In the
way that is right,
Ever
faithful and true,
Walking
in heaven's light
He'll
see me safely through.
The cross
may be heavy
That
I carry each day,
But
He'll not forsake me:
By my
side He will stay!
He's
already crossed o'er
With
the ransom in hand,
And
He calls from the shore
Of the
sweet Promised Land:
"Sinner,
come unto me,
And
I will give you rest;
From
your sins be set free --
Be forevermore
blest!"
On cruel
Calvary
He proved
His endless love,
Ever
with Him I'll be
In that
Land up above.
