This class is ECE 53A, the fundamental of electrical engineering. Sounds hard huh?? well, it is.. I took this class twice, first time unsuccessfully getting a D, then the second time was much better receiving an A for the class. :)
First time around, I had Tri Le, and Terence Kim as lab partners, they were good, but lab was not the problem, the tests and homeworks were. I didn't understand the professor that well, nor the TA. The tests were very tough, and homeworks was not helpful in understanding the class. :(. Professor was Shayan Mookherjea, TA was Soheil Attari.. :( :( Sorry to say that was the the most confusing Profesor-TA combo :) o well, it was okay because the 2nd time around, I got Professor CK Cheng and TA Shibin Parameswaran. They say it takes pain to feel pleasure and they were right, this time I had a better understanding of what it takes to pass the class, and the Prof. and Shibin was very helpful in labs, homeworks, and tests were also easier (I think). Anyways, the 2nd time around, I had noberto as my lab partner, he was a good partner. It was a good class, but this was the time before they make it ECE53A only, and they have just discontinued ECE 53B, so I'm going to have to take another upper division CS class instead.. :) The 2nd time was a better experience than the first, maybe also it's because the first time, I had to wake up for a 8:00 AM class. and the 2nd one was a 2:00 PM class :) much better for me.. yayayerzz :)
