Someone Elses Muse Ms. Muse has gone, vacationing to relax with a book of anothers contemplations. Giving herself over to gentle wanderings of the mind. Time away from hard fought battles quips and wits fatigue. To renew her temperate nature and spent energies. Her umbrella sits just so, allowing les sol lei to caress languid limbs . Its warmth sooths away, knitted brow and pursed lips of concentration. As each page turns, tension eases and is no more. She savors each word, not of her making like fine Bordeaux rolling across her tongue. And so, she sits as her imagination soars with anothers ideas. Resting and filling her drained spirit finding strength in someone elses muse. By: Graci (c) 2001 -- Lorrie S. Workman Return to Graci's Poetry Page |
