Imagine coming home tired after a long busy day popping your refrigerator open to find left over food from… a week ago. You sniff it. Is it still good? Anything else in there? Another night of takeout food.  Now imagine walking in to your home full of tantalizing aromas of fresh herbs and homemade cooking. You open your refrigerator full of healthy, freshly cooked, nutritious meals for you to enjoy at your leisure.  Grace’s Personal Chef Service will provide that for you. I will personalize your menu, grocery shop, come to your home, cook, package your food, store it in the refrigerator or freezer, and leave your kitchen spotless.  All you will need to do is follow the simple heating instructions and voila! Dinner is served.  It’s that simple.

About Me

As far back as I can remember, my mother would be in the kitchen chopping away, as my sister and I came home from school.  I couldn’t wait to get home every night to sit down for a home made meal.  Our refrigerator would always be filled with fresh seasonal vegetables.  I would always wonder, what’s for dinner tonight?  Can’t wait!

 

I would walk into the house filled with aromas of miso soup, garlic, soy sauce, fresh herbs and spices.  As my sister and I worked on our homework upstairs, I can hear the chopping and sizzling of my favorite dishes.  I couldn’t wait for the magic words, “It’s dinnertime!” I would rush down stairs and set the table. 

 

My father always said, “Food brings the family together.”  He made sure we all sat down together for dinner every night.  It was catch up time with the family to talk about “stuff”.  (I think this is why we never had TV in the dining room…).  That’s what it was all about.  Enjoying food and laughter with the people you love. Even now, we all sit around the same table and “catch up”. (Now I do most of the cooking!)

 

I hope I can bring the joy and laughter into your home with what I love to do most.  To cook! Let me do the work so you can take care of the more important things in life.  Good food is beautiful thing! Enjoy!

how it works

Simply contact me (a week notice will be much appreciated) and we will set up a FREE in-home, brief, no-obligation interview with you and your family in the comfort of your home; where we will discuss dietary needs, food allergies, and your meal preferences. The food questionnaire with your food preference will be completed at this time. 

 

Meal plans are available on a weekly, bi-weekly, or occasional basis and your meals will be customized to your individual taste and lifestyle. REMEMBER: I am YOUR personal chef! All the meals prepared will be exactly how you like it! If you don’t like peas, you won’t see it on your menu!

 

A few days before the scheduled cook day, I will send you a customized menu to you for your approval. When your cook date arrives, I will begin at the market by selecting only the freshest and highest quality ingredients available.  I will arrive at your home with the groceries and necessary cooking equipment. Depending on your menu, cooking and clean up will take between four to six hours. I will then package and label all meals and place them in the refrigerator or freezer (depending on frequency of cooking dates).  A menu listing all items and heating instructions will be left for you.  Your kitchen will be left clean and smelling fantastic!  Simply heat your meal according to the reheating instructions at any time and ENJOY!

Did you know you should eat at least 400g of vegetables per day for a healthier energetic lifestyle? A sample salad that equals approximately 400g

 

3 iceburg lettuce leaves

3 stalks of asparagus

1/2 red or yellow bell pepper

3 pieces of large broccoli

 

Remember this is the minimum.  Adding more color vegetables to your diet is your road to a healthier happier lifestyle! Grill  vegetables with olive oil for a richer flavor.

Grace’s Personal Chef Services offers a variety of meal plans for every lifestyle.   I will be happy to go over the plans at the initial consultation.  A general pricing guide is listed here.  Side items, when appropriate, will be chosen for you based on your preference.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email me at anytime

 

BASIC SERVICE plus groceries for all meal plan.

4 persons                   $325 (20 meals)        $300 (16 meals)        $265 (12 meals)

*For example: 4 persons x 5 meals is perfect for a family of 4 for a week, a couple for 2 weeks and a single or senior for 4 weeks. 

 

FRESH SERVICE Weekly service only. I will be cooking two days a week. 

 

Three meals prepared one day, and two meals prepared later in the week.  The Fresh Service allows you to simply heat fresh meals without freezing or thawing. Salads will be refreshed between services.  Highly Recommended!

*The above plan includes initial consultation, food questionnaire, menu planning, grocery shopping, labeling, reheating instructions, clean-up, and trash removal.

 

*The above prices are basic pricing.  Prices may change depending upon special requests and services. 

 

*Entrées are served with an appropriate side dish, with the exception of some casseroles, stir-fries and stews, which are complete meals.

 

* Container Fee: A one-time container fee will be assessed. The containers are yours to keep. The container fee is dependent upon the type of containers used. Reusable containers (Pyrex or similar), will require a $100 deposit. This amount generally covers a set of 8 to 10 containers. Any unused amount will be refunded to you and any additional pieces that are required costing more than $100 will be added to your second payment. There will be a $15 fee per cook date for disposable containers.

 

* Special Diets - A $25 charge will be added to the weekly cost for recipe research and special menu design.

I recommend organic vegetables, organic free-range poultry, organic free-range meats, Kurobuta pork and dairy products.  For healthier dining use extra virgin olive oil for sautéing vegetables and meats.
