I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you on Grace's special Birthday ! Grace has touched the lives of many, as has her Mommy. She is very proud of you and all of the support that you have given to others. She is looking down on you from Heaven with a huge smile on her cute little face. Happy Birthday Grace. We all love you very much !!
As I read this poem for the first time Theresa, I couldn't help but think of you. I know the daily pain that you are carrying being with out your Gracie. It is a pain that hurts so much and can tear us apart. You took that pain and turned it into something positive. You created a safe haven. A place where us grieving parents can come together and create a family of our own. You are an inspiration for us all. Trust me, I do know that you are feeling very empty and lonely right now, and we are here to help you through it. You do this everyday for all of us, and now wecan try to do that foryou. You are an incredible person and I am very lucky to have met you and Grace !!
This day is a celebration
of the short time you were here.
You will always be remembered
with great love and sometimes tears.
But ony to feel pain and sorrow,
would not be quite fair to you.
Your life meant so much more to me,
more than I ever knew.
You were here so briefly,
I wonder if you know,
All the ways you've touched the world,
since the day GOD called you home.
Now, my Child you're an Angel,
with your Heavenly Father above.
I see not only what I've lost,
by my capacity of love.
There will always be a big void,
my soul will grieve forever.
Will I forget or stop loving you ?
NO, not now....not ever.

If we could have you back for just one day,
There would be so many things we would like to say.
If we could just be with you for one whole day.
To have you close and know that you really are okay.
If we had known that you would be gone forever,
If we had known all those ties were going to be severed
If we had known the pain, the loss and the ache,
If we had known the difference with out you would make.
In the darkness you slipped away from us all,
Now it's just your memories that we have to recall,
They say that parting is such sweet sorrow,
But it's the longing, the wondering and how to cope with tomorrow.
They say that grieving a child is the very worst.
Cause lifes plan is that the parents should go first.
Now all we have are memories, the good times that we had.
We spens so much time in tears and pain and feeling sad.
So if we could have you back for just one day.
You could let us know, how to cope until that judgement day.
When we'll be together as a family once again,
when we'll all be happy and free from this pain.
Oh ! It's so hard to live when your child has to die,
Then we spend our lifetime trying to say goodbye.
