Tasuki, the fifth among the Suzaku Seishi to appear, is a stubborn young man who was the former leader of the Mount leikaku bandits.
Miaka and the other Seishi went to Mount leikaku to find Genrou. Unfortunately Genrou was on a journey and Eiken, a fellow bandit, took this opportunity to take over the position as the leader and claim the Tessen (Iron Fan) for himself. This Tessen is the

bandit's treasure, that when the words "Lekka Shineu" is said by the owner, would throw flames. Miaka and the others were kidnapped by Eiken. When Genrou returned, he found Miaka, and mistaking her as Eiken's wife took her as a hostage. Miaka then explained to Genrou that they are looking for Tasuki, one of the Suzaku Seishi. She asked for his help and in return, she would also help him reclaim his position as the bandit's leader. Genrou agreed and so they returned to the bandit's place wher e he fought with Eiken. After reclaiming his position as a leader, he told them that Tasuki is the former leader who was already dead. But later changing his mind, Genrou admitted tha t he was in fact Tasuki.
Tasuki is adventurous and likes being in the center of the fight. He often make jokes which makes everyone laugh their hearts out. He is so noisy that doesn't bored when he is around. He also likes teasing Tamahome and seeing him flame with anger. But he can also get very serious sometimes. If theres one thing that he dislikes, it is the women. Tasuki grew up in a family full of women. He has five older sisters, who are all l ike him, short-tempered and noisy. And at the age of 15, he left their house not wanting to be in the hands of his sisters. But Tasuki, although claiming his dislike for women, developed a friendship with Miaka. Probably because Miaka is so unlike his sisters. The two goes along very well and he vowed to protect the Suzaku No Miko from any harm.
