amiboshi

    Amiboshi is the second of the Seiryuu Seishi to appear. He was sent by Nakago to Konan Country to pretend as one of the Suzaku Seishi (Chiriko, the last of the Suzaku Seishi to appear hasn't been seen yet at that time). Miaka and the others didn't even suspect that he was not a true Suzaku Seishi. The music coming from his flute is so powerful that one can't resist it. Whatever plans Konan Country have is being spied by Amiboshi and then relating this information to Nakago through his twin brother Suboshi. Amiboshi tried to kill Miaka and the Seishi's during the Suzaku-calling ceremony but he didn't succeed. At the last minute Chiriko showed up ruining all his plans. He plunged into the rapids, and although Miaka tried to save him, he himself let go to be swept away. Miaka met him again in Sailo where he was being taken cared of by two old couples who gave him the name "kaika".   At this point in time, he already realized how wrong he was to listen to Nakago and side with the Seiryuu Seishi. He doesn't want to fight anymore. Amiboshi even regretted being born a Seiryuu seishi.
     Amiboshi has a twin brother named Suboshi, also one of the Seiryuu Seishi. Both of them experienced life living in war.   Their parents are both killed during that war.   Nakago persuaded them to serve the Seiryuu No Miko saying that when the Seiryuu God is called, a wish to bring peace in their land will be granted and that no more war will occur. But they must first get rid of the Suzaku No Miko and the Suzaku Seishi's for they are obstacles in obtaining peace. The twin brothers had fallen to these promises by Nakago. In Sailo however, Amiboshi   learned that it is only Nakago who wants war and not the Suzaku Seishi's.
     Amiboshi is one of the most gentle character in the story.   He only wants peace and harmony to everyone. Unlike his twin brother, Amiboshi listen and see with his heart.
