A story of Ghouls Demons and Spirits

I am not going to pretend to you that I know everything about spirits and the spirit world. But I know that what little information I do have will be of benefit to somebody, as that was the reason I feel led to write on this subject.

I shall begin at the beginning, which though I have explained in a story format, is actually what I experienced, and nothing is fabricated. Though I have added some humorous comments. So sue me!

A couple of years ago I was awoken very early in the morning by a strange jolt of energy. I left my bed bewildered and stumbled onto the landing leading to the toilet, heading toward the ceramic bowl that was to bring me relief. I was still dazed and desperately needed to relieve my bowels. Between my room and the toilet there is a large mirror that I use every morning to prune my self before facing the world. (I also tend to take the opportunity to admire myself when I visit the little boys room). Well on this occasion I glanced across to check what I look like in the morning. As I looked, a strange feeling crept over me. A cold sensation drifted across my back bringing small amounts of sweat and a sudden burst of adrenalin. as if what I was looking at was not me. I had had no prior feeling of this kind and had never experienced this sort of thing before. I was afraid. Very afraid. Perhaps my tiredness mixed with my dreams? Perhaps I was sick? I looked at my eyes. My eyebrows were arched and I looked evil. Something desperately wrong was going to happen and I could just feel my skin crawling with horror. As I looked on I became glued to the mirror. What I was watching was scary as hell and all I wanted to do was look away, but, I found myself glued to the spot. As I looked on, my image began to mutilate. With every second my image became more evil looking and my eyes became devoid of life. My reflection became shorter and I began to smile evilly. My face was distorting before my eyes. My own reflection was completely out of my control and I was gripped with a terror I cannot describe. I touched the mirror to reassure myself of what was happening. As I did so I saw a small horrible figure appear from behind me (in the mirror) Though I had not seen him before he was the one responsible disfiguring my reflection. I saw him laugh and grin evilly (though I did not hear him). I turned to confront him (More a thought of "better the devil you know than the devil you don’t" than ‘lets kick his ass’) As I looked behind me there was nothing there. I was shocked and reeled around assuming that he would be in front. But when I turned back my image was back to normal. Extremely frightened I repeated the name Jesus to myself. (being a Christian at the time I was following scripture (which I still do) ‘And the demons will flee at the name of Jesus’ ) As I did this I gradually became less afraid until like a ghostbuster I went out to confront the demon. Of course I never found it. And when my pastor father awoke to hear me shouting ‘Come on.. I know how to get you… JESUS!!’ I was very nearly institutionalized on the spot.

That was my first ever notable encounter with a demon. Though before that I had experienced many other psychic phenomena such as prophetic imagery, words of knowledge and the like. These however, are not the subject of this essay.

I hope you enjoyed that story. Though more importantly I hope you learnt something from it. This story raises many points that I would like to cover.

What is a demon? – A demon is a spirit that is set upon constantly causing
trouble. Some demons are more intelligent than others. This is often related to how ‘high’ a spirit has evolved. (more about this later) However, one thing to remember is that demons and usually demons alone are completely independent of each other. Though they may communicate and sometimes even have the same goals, by virtue of the fact of them being demons they act independently. This means that they will cause trouble to you and each other!
Low-level demons (like the one I encountered) find enjoyment (and one theory is that they feed) from provoking emotions in humans. They are low level because they cause immediate problems and do not strategically hurt you. I hasten to add that they are not harmless. Often far from it, but they can in one sense be the lesser of two evils. Better to encounter this kind of demon than the other.

High-level demons are those that have obtained more knowledge and often more power. For instance they will display power to you in order to trick you into giving them more power or allowing them to cling to you. These are the kind that can cause you more problems because they can in theory, when allowed, possess people. They often have a specific plan in mind when they contact you. They may know your weak spots. These are the buggers to look out for!

Both these kind of demons have limitations to their abilities for instance contrary to what some people may have told you. NO SPIRIT KNOWS THE FUTURE! This is an impossibility. Only the divine can know the future and it seldom tells people. However they can predict the future by accessing all the facts. Demons can see the actions more closely and hear the words from all the people involved in a particular situation than we ever could, therefore, pretending that they know the future can be as simple as relaying the facts known to a person who wants to believe that the future can be read. For instance consider the following

Fred wants to know if Joanne will go to the ‘prom’ with him. So he does a Ritual evocation to talk to a divinatory spirit. He asks the spirit ‘Will Joanne go to the prom with me if I ask her?’

Now at the same time (or perhaps at some time before) Joanne is speaking to her friend. ‘Oh sally blah blah blah. I wish Fred would ask me to the prom blah blah blah’ This knowledge is now on the physical plane and the spirit knows it. So he can now employ these and other facts to create a very good prediction. Demons will probably try and have you believe they know the future. This is simply not true, tell the spirit you know he is a liar. This may infuriate him but it will give you spiritual and mental superiority over it, perhaps causing it to leave. This is a simple example of how a spirit may try to trick you by not showing his limitations.

NO SPIRIT CAN READ YOUR MIND! Unless in some way you consciously or theoretically subconsciously leak your minds thoughts spiritually (which is very unlikely). (You may wish to work on protecting your thoughts if you feel at risk) Though if at any time you speak your thoughts you may be letting a spirit know what you are thinking. There is a difference between the physical/Mental/Spiritual Planes . If information is passed to the physical or spiritual a spirit can access it. So in this way it may try to trick you into thinking it has more power than it does. However, a spirit can plant thoughts in your mind either directly (probably high level demon) or indirectly (through something you see or hear). We are often under spiritual attack without knowing it. This is a good reason to daily cleanse your mind and spirit. Perhaps with daily adorations? Or prayers?

NO SPIRIT CAN ENTER YOU UNLESS ALLOWED! There is a very definite difference between possession and for want of a better words clinging. A spirit can cling to you without you letting it. But you can get rid of it if you know it is there. Possession is possible (Check out Crowleys book about possession) but only if you allow it either through ritual or simply a spiritual change.
How do you get rid of a spirit?

The most effective way is to either

Use the name of Jesus or another name which you have complete (and I repeat COMPLETE!) faith in. I recommend the name of Jesus because it WILL work and because you know this you can have complete faith in it. If, however, you disagree with the use of the name Jesus then use another name which you have complete faith in.

I will endeavor to update this file as I get response. But for this time I see that these two will fit each person. If this is wrong then I will show you some more ways to release spirits from your immediate area. These are not forms of exorcism only to release spirits from your immediate area.
How do I know when I meet a spirit?

There are many physical indicators that tell you when you have encountered a spirit. These vary from person to person. Like cold sweats and shivering. Also feeling hot or simply feeling nervous. These are all perfectly normal as well as almost any physical side affect you can think of. The most notable affect however, is the interaction with your spirit. Normally our spirits remain sensorarily docile. However, when we meet another entity we experience strange feelings. These often manifest as emotions. Such as I experienced like fear, horror, a sense that something is about to happen. Other times a more gentle loving spirit will fill you with warmth and joy. It differs from person to person and experience to experience. When a spirit makes contact with you, you may feel energized or extremely happy and will have almost out of place thoughts, thoughts that seem to have no applicable meaning. Try and remember these. They generally bear great relevance on you or someone you know.
