Isaac Shelby Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky To all to whom these presents
shall come Greetings Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of a Kentucky
Land office warrant No. two hundred issued the eleventh day of December one thousand and
eight hundred and fifteen, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Thomas McSwain
a certain tract or parcel of Land containing ninety acres by survey bearing the date
the second day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixteen lying and being in the
County of Madison on Station Camp Creek and on both sides of the State Road
not far Northwardly of the thirty mile ___ inch ___ the said McSwains house and
Improvements and bounded as followeth To wit Beginning at a white oak marked T.M.S.
and ___ two dogwoods on the East side of the State Road thence North forty West
two hundred poles to two sugartrees Standing on a clift thence South fifty West crossing
the State Road at thirty two poles in all fifty eight poles to a white oak blue ash and
Ironwood Standing on a Clift thence South thirty East one hundred and fifty poles to a stake,
thence South fifty Eight East crossing the state Road at twelve poles in all twenty seven
poles to two chesnut oaks corner to John Broaddus assee of William Harris
thence North seventy one East eighty one poles to the Beginning with its apputenances
to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land
with its appurtenances to the said Thomas McSwain and his heirs forever In witness whereof the
said Isaac Shelby Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand
and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the fifth day
of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen and of the Commonwealth the Twenty fifth
