Gabriel Slaughter Esq Lieutenant Governor and acting Governor of the Commonwealth to all
to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of
Kentucky Land Office warrant No. 2644 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto
Shelton Brockman a certain tract or parcel of Land Containing fifty acres by survey
bearing date the second day of December one thousand eight hundred and eighteen lying
and being in the County of Madison on the dividing ridge between the head waters of
Owsley's fork and the south fork of Station Camp Creek and bounded as
followeth To wit Beginning at three poplar from one root and a hill side on the waters
of Owsleys fork marked I.C.A. and S.B. thence south ten East thirty four poles to a sugartree
and hickory under a clift thence South thirty three West forty six poles to a gum and black
locust trees thence South fifty West thirty poles to a poplar and dogwood near th spring
thence North sixty West forty poles to a white oak tree on a ridge marked I.C.B. thence
North four East one hundred and sixty poles to a stake thence South thirty five East one
hundred and ten poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract
or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Shelton Brockman and his heirs
forever In Witness whereof the said Gabriel Slaughter Esq Lieutenant Governor of the
Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth
to be affixed at Frankfort on the Second day of July in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and nineteen and of the Commonwealth the Twenty eighth
