John Breathitt Esq. Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to all to whom these presents shall come
greeting Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of a Kentucky land office warrant
N22503 there is granted by said Commonwealth unto Shelton Brockman assee of
Robert Harris a certain tract or parcel of land containing fifty acres by Survey
bearing date the 14th day of September 1832 lying and being in the County of Madison on the
fork of the Clover Bottom fork of Rockcastle river that Bazil Baker, Sr. lives on
above said Bakers house and bounded as followeth to wit, Begining at a spanish oak and
white oak pointer thence S20 East 2 poles to a white oak and black walnut corner to a
50 acre Survey made in the name of Joseph Barnell which said Baker now lives on and with a
line of the same on all 40 poles to a black gum and dogwood on said line thence West 28
poles to a white oak and hill side thence N56 West80 poles to a black walnut and slippery elm near
a branch thence N39 West at 56 poles to a black gum marked as a corner in all 112 poles to a black oak and
white oak thence East at 42 poles to a poplar marked as a corner in all 62 poles to a
spanish oak and black gum on said branch thence S43 East 130 poles to the Beginning with
its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its
appurtenances to the said Shelton Brockman and his heirs forever In Witness whereof the
said John Breathitt Esq. Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his
hand and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the fifth
day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three and of the
Commonwealth the forty second.
