John Adair Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky To all to whom these presents
shall come Greetings Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of a Kentucky
Land office warrant No.8805 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto
Michael Dowden assee of James Dowden a certain tract of parcel of
Land containing fifty acres By survey bearing date the Tenth day of September
one thousand eight hundred and twenty two Lying and being in the County of Madison
on the waters of Silver Creek and bounded as followeth To wit Begininng at a spanish oak
two buckeyes and a beech on the Right hand fork of Bobbys fork of Silver Creek thence
South eighteen West Twenty poles to three ash trees thence South forty five East thirty eight
poles to two dogwoods thence South ten West twenty eight poles to a black walnut tree
thence South eighty two East thirty eight poles crossing Bobbys fork to a large maple
thence North twenty East twenty five poles to a hickory and dogwood thence North eight
East one hundred and forty six poles to two white oaks and black oak thence North eighty
two West twenty four poles crossing the aforesaid fork to a white oak and two maples
thence South thirty West one hundred and fourteen poles to the Beginning
with its apputenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land
with its appurtenances to the said Michael Dowden and his heirs forever In witness whereof the
said John Adair Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand
and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the third day
of September In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three and the
Commonwealth the thirty second
