GOVERNOR OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY:
To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:

KNOW YE, That by virtue and in consideration of part of a warrant from the Madison
County Court, there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Michael Dowden, James Heart, and James Dowden


a certain tract or parcel of Land, containing Sixty five         Acres, by
survey, bearing date the 12th      day of December      one thousand eight hundred
and forty eight            lying and being in the County of Madison
and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at a black locust and 2 chesnut oaks on top of the dividing ridge between roundstone waters and the head waters of Silver Creek and corner to Moses Davis 50 acres survey thence by his line N45E36 poles to a black oak, white oak and 2 chesnut oaks and corner to said Moses Daviss 50 acres and on a line of a 75 acre Survey made for said Davis , still with him N15E14 poles to a stake, and corner to said 75 acres thence S57E130 poles crossing 3 hollows to a large white oak marked (JKP) and on a narrow bench thence new line N22E5 poles to a large poplar on a line of a survey made for Wm Bentley of 120 acres with it N42W70 poles to a red oak and white oak on a bench or hill side thence N26W60 poles to 2 dogwoods white oak marked (W.B>) on an East hill side corner to a survey of 400 acres made for Wm Bentley thence S58W30 poles to a large chesnut on the top of the dividing ridges and also the County line thence with said ridge and County line N Eastwardly 160 poles to the Beginning (Registered 6th Feb, 1851)




With its appurtienances: To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to the said
Michael Dowden, James Heart and James Dowden




and their heirs forever.

Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the seal
of the Commonwealth to be affixed, at Frankfort, on the 6th day of
August in the year of our Lord, on thousand eight hundred
