To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:
KNOW YE, That by virtue and in consideration of ___ warrant from the
Madison
County Court, there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Michael Dowden
a certain tract or parcel of Land, containing one hundred and fifty
Acres, by
survey, bearing date the 5th
day of February one thousand eight hundred
and forty six
lying and being in the County of Madison on the waters
of Silver Creek and bounded as followeth to wit: Beginning at two white oaks William Bushes
old corner one of the marked K.C. with his line N30E91 to a white oak and hickory on said
line with the widow Thompsons line W at 30 poles a white oak and maple her corner
and with Joel Todds line in all 100 poles to a hickory and black locust with said
Todds 150 acres S95E42 poles to 3 chesnut oaks on a high ridge with said ridge
S25W80 poles to two pines on same ridge S48W32 poles to a chesnut oak a corner to
William Bentleys 400 acres with lines of the same N55E160 poles to a chesnut oak on a
point S10E300 poles to a double white oak a corner to Moses Davidson [Moses Davis? see grant 34, pg. 133]
200 acres with his lines of the same N68E100 poles crossing Billys fork to a white oak N20E86
poles to a double chesnut oak N50 poles to a white oak in James Cummins line with the
same N83W7 poles to two white oaks and dogwood a corner to John Hoskins 50 acres with line of the
same S14W130 poles crossing said Billys fork to two poplars on the side of a Knob
N10E126 poles to two white oaks and a hickory in the line of said Cummins with said line
N83W14 poles to two white oaks N7E91 poles to two pines and two dogwoods in said Bushes
