This Indenture made this Seventh day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and seventeen between John Hudson and Susannah his wife of Barren County
and the State of Kentucky of the one part and Thomas Turner of the County of Madison and
the State of Kentucky of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Hudson and
Sussannah his wife for an in consideration of the sum of five hundred and forty
three dollars to him in hand paid receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge hath granted
bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell and confirm unto
the said Thomas Turner his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of Land Containing
Seventy acres and three quarters and bounded as followeth Beginning at a stake on Adam
Rogers Line and running with said line north 115 1/2 poles to a stone on Crews
preemption line at Abraham Newlands corner thence with said Crewses line west to
a white oak red oak and dogwood corner to the land of Edward Broaddus thence with
his line south 59 poles to a stake on said line and corner of the said Craven Belshay
thence with his line South 64 East 154 poles to the Beginning together with its
appurtences thereunto to have and to hold the land hereby conveyed unto the said
Thomas Turner his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Hudson and Susannah
his wife for themselves their heirs and to the said tract of Land and premises to the
said Thomas Turner his heirs against all and every person or persons whatsoever but against
all and every person or persons whatsoever but if the said land should be taken by any
other Claims from the said Turner or his heirs then the said Hudson shall pay back
the principle without interest and from the time the said Turner should be disposed the
principle to draw interest until paid in testimony whereof they have set their hands
and affixed their seals the day and date first above written signed and Sealed and
