This Indenture made the [n.d.] day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and eight Between Cravens Belshay [Belsha] and Margaret his wife of
Warren County and State of Tennessee of the one part and John Hudson of the County
of Madison and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the other part Witnesseth that the said
Craven Belshay and Margaret his wife for and in consideration of the
sum of Sixty eight pounds eight Shillings current money of Kentucky to them in hand paid
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by
these presents doth grant bargain and sell and confirm unto the said John Hudson
his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the County
of Madison on the Waters of Muddy Creek containing fifty six and three fourth acres and
bounded as follows To Wit Beginning at a stake on George Astens line and
running with said line North 75 degrees...
and premises unto the aforesaid John Hudson his heirs and assigns against all
and every person or persons whatsoever claiming by or under the said Craven
Belshay unto the said John Hudson his heirs doth and will
warrant and forever defend by these Presents
